How Do Your Laser Hair Removal Technology Treatments Work?
A proprietary laser and cooling system destroys unwanted hair follicles.
A&E's, 5 NYS Licensed Female technicians follow the manufacturer's
recommended laser settings that emit the exact amount of laser energies
most effective for your hair and skin type.
The Laser then emits a gentle pulse of heat energy that passes through
the skin and destroys the hair follicles.
Does Your Laser Hair Removal Technology Hurt?
As long as the Manufactures settings are followed, all our clients are
extremely comfortable and happy during treatment.
Many of A&E's clients purchase many additional body areas, because of
the comfort and result they have experienced with
their previous treatments.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on the treatment you require and the
condition of your skin. For laser hair
removal, multiple treatments are required, as the process is only
effective when the hair follicle is in its active growth phase.
How do I prepare for treatment?
Patients scheduled for hair removal should avoid plucking, electrolysis
or hair waxing for four weeks prior to treatments.
If you have had a history of perioral herpes and are scheduled for
facial hair treatment, prophylactic antiviral therapy may be prescribed.
Also, any hair should be completely removed by shaving, and your skin
should be thoroughly cleaned and dried, removing any makeup, creams,
oils, or topical anesthetics on its surface before laser treatments.
What can I expect after treatment?
Patients should avoid sun exposure before and after treatment, by
applying sunblock (SPF 30 or above) prior to going outdoors.
Are these treatments covered by insurance?
Most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic
procedures.
